Civil Procedure MBE questions are already a deep cut in bar-prep conversations, but this one comes up a lot: Is UWorld actually worse than AdaptiBar?
The short answer: No, the questions themselves are largely the same. The real differences show up in the features around them. Here’s what sets the two apart:
- Explanations. AdaptiBar uses long, text-only explanations that many students find extremely thorough. UWorld relies more on visuals and tables. Some diagrams don’t add much, but the strong ones (especially tables) make rules easier to digest.
- Volume. UWorld includes more questions overall (anything over what comes from the NCBE are not released NCBE questions). Even though they aren’t written by the NCBE, most of the UWorld ones are good quality and useful for practice.
- Progress tracking. AdaptiBar lets you filter your performance by date—for example, viewing how you’ve done over the past 30 days. That’s especially helpful heading into February exam week. UWorld doesn’t offer this type of date-based filtering yet.
- Printable question sets. AdaptiBar allows you to export missed questions by subject or topic as a printable PDF. This is especially helpful for tutors or anyone who prefers marking up questions or drawing diagrams on an iPad.
If you’re choosing between the two, focus on which study features fit your routine — things like visuals, printable sets, or more detailed performance tracking.
