January bar prep feels different than December bar prep, and this is where having a plan becomes important.
To help students get organized and set clear priorities, BarMD is hosting January Study Tips on January 4. This live Zoom session will walk through where students should be at this stage of bar prep and outline goals for January to support preparation for the February 2026 bar exam.
One of the most common mistakes students make is delaying preparation for the Performance Test. Many students do not seriously think about the PT until February, which can make the final stretch of bar prep feel rushed and overwhelming.
Students enrolled in the PT course should complete the four on-demand PT classes before the live classes begin in January. These classes are designed to introduce the PT process and strategy gradually and should be spaced out so the material has time to sink in. Cramming all four classes into one or two days immediately before the live sessions is not recommended.
Students should schedule the four on-demand PT classes now, leaving three to four days between each lecture, to be fully prepared for the first live PT class on January 7.
Students are encouraged to attend January Study Tips on January 4 and come prepared with questions about scheduling, PT prep, or overall study strategy.
