Tina Schindler is the Director of Bar Preparation and an Associate Professor of Law at Southwestern Law School, where she recently helped lead the school to historic bar passage rates. For over a decade, she has designed academic and bar exam support programs, created innovative curricula, directed bar preparation programs and pre-admission law school programs, and taught courses and workshops in bar-tested subjects.
Tina Schindler has also graded and lectured for several bar preparation companies and served on national committees related to bar passage. She has also presented on bar exam topics at national conferences.
In addition, Tina Schindler has written several popular books on bar preparation with longtime collaborator Mary Basick. Their bar preparation books are concise and practical, condensing vast amounts of substantive law into manageable concepts presented in a useful and easily understandable format. Their most recent book is MBE Decoded (Wolters Kluwer 2021,) which takes a fresh approach to MBE study and was inspired by redesigning an MBE course for their students, resulting in vastly improved MBE scores.
Together they have also authored Essay Exam Writing for the California Bar Exam (Wolters Kluwer, 2nd ed. 2020) and the California Performance Test Workbook (Wolters Kluwer, 2nd ed. 2020). Tina Schindler has taken the patent bar exam through the USPTO and is a licensed patent agent in addition to being licensed to practice law in California.
